Ceandess was founded in 1924 by Chilcot, Stephens & Scott and has been part of the Midlands metal engineering industry ever since. In the 1940’s Ceandess developed a range of filler caps for the British motorcycle and car industries and we take pride in the continued development and supply of filler caps, necks and filters within the industry.
Our range of filler caps and bases, some designed back in the 1940’s, has evolved massively over the years, from being used on motorcycles such as BSA, Triumph, Royal Enfield, Norton, Matchless, AJS, Vellocette and Vincent and cars including Jaguar, AC Cobra, Scimiter, ACE, Mini Rocker Covers, Lotus Elan, Marcos Mantis, TVR, Daimler and Aston Martin to name but a few.
Alongside these classic caps we manufacture and supply filler caps and bases for tractors, dumper trucks, diggers and fire engines supplying companies such as JCB; Hydraulic fuel and oil filters and for Caterpillar and Emergency One. We have also made components for kit cars and custom builds.
Other capabilities include:
- Powder coating
- Laser cutting
- Press brake forming
- High speed coil feed presses up to 400t
- Spot Welding, Robotic, MIG & TIG Welding
- Brazing and soldering with pressure testing facilities
We have been involved in creating some bespoke, one off projects over the years, including the Key Globe which is situated in Willenhall at MHA Waterside House Care Home.
As company Ceandess are proud to have been part of the creative and manufacturing team who produced the amazing Gift Of Life Project.
The project is dedicated to organ and tissue donors and their families, and stands outside the entrance to the Urgent and Emergency Care Centre at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton.
Designed by Wolverhampton University students Matthew Sadler and Neil Welch, it is hoped the project will encourage people to become donors by opting in to be an organ & tissue donor.
